The Grenee McCollum-Dobbs Memorial Scholarship
The Grenee McCollum-Dobbs Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to 1 graduating senior from the Rockdale County Public School System each year. This student can be self-nominated or nominated by a member of the school’s faculty or staff (principal, teacher, counselor, etc.) for odds they’ve overcome, potential they show or hardships they’ve endured. Applications will be accepted starting January 1st of each year and the nomination deadline will be March 25th.
Eligibility Requirements
- Applicant must be a graduating senior from one of the public high schools in Rockdale County
- Applicant must be in good standing with plans to attend an accredited college or university
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens or legal resident

- Completed Application
- Current Official High School Transcripts
- Current Contact Information (ex. email address, phone number)
- Current Contact Information of School Counselor

2024 Scholarship Amount
$5,000 (To be paid directly to college or institution)
Awarding Process
The winning candidate will receive an email followed by a phone call informing them of their selection on the morning of May 13th. At that point they will receive additional details on how to finalize the scholarship process.
Submission Process
Please email completed scholarship application and current high school transcripts to Juron@tgdf.org. Scholarship applications are not considered to be received until you receive a confirmation email. Please follow up via email if you do not receive a response to your initial submission within 24 hours. If you do not have internet access, please deliver the completed application, and current official transcripts to your high school counselor.
